Our Leadership Team
A list of volunteers we have elected to guide the direction of our club.
Sylvia Wolff
PRESIDENT
• Is the executive head of the club, presides at all Executive Committee, Monthly and Annual General Meetings.
• Ensures all actions of the Executive Committee are in accordance with the policies and practices of PROBUS Canada.
• Is one of the signing officers for the club bank account.
• Represents the club at PROBUS Canada meetings.
• Deals with any issues that may arise from the general membership.
• This is a two year term, renewable position.
Garry Sleep
PAST PRESIDENT
• Serves as an advisor to the President and assists as requested.
• Acquaints incoming Executive on the history and procedures of the Aurora York Central PROBUS and is non-voting position.
• Forms the Nominations Committee as and when required.
• This is a one year term position and can be filled by any past President of the Aurora York Central PROBUS.
Anna Pilato
VP MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR
• Maintains membership roll which includes member names, addresses, email addresses, telephone numbers, and ensures its security.
• Manages applications from potential new members. Ensures information is complete, payment received and entered on the rolls.
• Procuring and distribution of name badges for new members, Coordinators and Directors.
• Annual membership renewal and payment.
• Organising new member Meet and Greets.
• As Vice President acts in absence of President.
• This a two year term, renewable position.
Tim Hill
VP WEB & MEDIA DIRECTOR
• Manages club online presence, new or updated webpages, special events support i.e. posters, tickets, slideshows, etc.
• Provides advice and support to the Executive Committee on any issues or requirements relating to technology.
• As Vice President, acts in absence of President.
• This is a two year term, renewable position.
Marie Wallace
TREASURER
• Prepares the annual club budget for approval by the Executive Committee.
• Presents a Treasurer’s report to Executive and General Meetings.
• Acts as bank liaison, maintains and reconciles bank account and signature record.
• Pays all club expenses, as approved by the Executive, including annual PROBUS Canada fee.
• This is a three year term, renewable position.
Judy Dickens
SECRETARY
• Records minutes of Executive Committee and Annual General Meetings.
• Counts and records the number of attendees at club meetings.
• Presents club correspondence to Executive Committee where required.
• Acts as club Archivist if such a position does not exist.
• This is a two year term, renewable position.
Susan Pratt
SOCIAL DIRECTOR
• Chairs Social Committee.
• Presents a schedule of possible activities to Executive Committee for approval and budgeting.
• Presents a preview list of upcoming activities to membership.
• Organizes and supervises all social events.
• This is a two year term, renewable position.
Leo Ralph
PROGRAMME DIRECTOR
• Sources, contacts, settles fees and engages speakers.
• Presents a schedule of possible speakers to Executive Committee for approval and budgeting.
• Presents preview of upcoming speakers to membership.
• Introduces and thanks speakers.
• This is a two year term, renewable position.

NEWSLETTER EDITOR
• Gathers updates on social events, special interest group announcements, speaker programming and presidential musings.
• Prepares and edits monthly club newsletter.
• Distributes newsletter and other notices to members as needed.
• This is a two year term, renewable position.
Wayne Scott
MARKETING DIRECTOR
• Sets up and manages social media sites for the club.
• Responsible for advertising/marketing the club
through social media and any other marketing vehicles
deemed suitable.
• Works in concert with web director to maintain a consistent
club image in all marketing communications.

Mary Lee Koyl
MEMBER AT LARGE
• Members at Large are appointed by the Executive Committee.
• It is a position for past executives or members interested in joining the board.
• Members at Large bring an uninvested perspective to the executive decision making process.
• The term for this position is 1 year. This is a non-voting position.
