June 11 – Annual General Meeting

Mother Nature smiled upon us with perfect weather for our Annual General Meeting and barbecue Patty McLaughlin with her keyboardist Donny Wood and lead guitarist Brian Colborne entertained us with a wonderful selection of tunes.

The meeting was short and sweet, our executive team members each gave an accounting of the year’s accomplishments and a hint of things to come. Volunteers Anna,Book Club, Mary Lee, Social Bridge, Sharon, Euchre, Judy, Theatre Lovers and Wayne, Nine & Dine Golf were recognized for organizing and managing their special interest groups. Moe Bagan too was recognized for his monthly contribution of TimBits to our morning coffee.

Election of our management team was a forgone conclusion as the current team members signed on for another term. That said, it is the right of any interested member to attend executive meetings to observe the leadership team in action and are most welcome to put their name forward for a position on the team.

We concluded with something hot off the grill, cold salads topped off with a selection of tasty sweets.

June 11 marks the end of our fiscal year, be safe, enjoy your summer and we’ll see you in September.
