October 15 – Dining Out At Cynthia’s Chinese Restaurant
Another evening of enjoying a great meal with wonderful friends. There was plenty of chatter, good humour and laughter as the photo slider will no doubt reveal. These outings are something we have all come to look forward to.

October 8 – Lianne Harris Racioppo – Rogues & Rebels: How Canada Began
We Canadians weren’t always polite and apologetic, nor is our history lacklustre compared to our American neighbours.
Lianne, dressed in period costume, took us back in history to explore some of the courageous, audacious, and clever personalities and bold events that put Canada on the map.
Delivered with humour and insight Lianne held our attention throughout her presentation with illustrative slides and interesting anecdotes, which were warmly received. Her audience commented afterwards “That was terrific!”, “I wish my high school teacher had made history that interesting!” and “I’d like to hear more, let’s have Lianne back.”
October 8 – 50/50 draw
Our guest speaker, Lianne Harris Racioppo, drew this month’s winning 50/50 ticket, which was held by Marie Adams. Congratulations Marie!
