2025 HAPPENINGS – January

January 24 – Appy Party

With thanks to organizers Susan Pratt and Judy Dickens, we welcomed our new members and spent a wonderful afternoon visiting, enjoying delicious appetizers and getting to know each other better. The well-appointed and very comfortable room was courtesy of Judy in the party room of her condo.

January 15 – Dining Out At Moxies

We had a great turn-out for lunch at Moxies, where they had set aside an upper area of booths and took very good care of us with attentive service and delicious meals. A good time was had by all and we got better acquainted with our table mates.

January 8 – Quilts of Valour

Aurora presenters Naomi and Mike Babineau shared their passion for the Quilts of Valour, a national organization run by volunteers. The group creates beautiful custom quilts which are presented to Canadian veterans of all generations as tokens of appreciation for their service. We learned how much receiving one of these quilts means to the veterans just knowing that what they experienced was recognized.
