2026 HAPPENINGS – January

January 24 – Appy Party Rescheduled

Unfortunately, Mother Nature decided to interfere and our gathering had to be rescheduled to Saturday, February 21, 3 pm to 7 pm.

For those who have not attended before, this is a lovely intimate gathering in the very homey party room in Judy Dickens, condo. We each bring an appetizer, drink of choice and chat.

The Appys & Cocktails Party is an opportunity to get to know our newest members a little bit better. All are welcome! Mark Saturday, February 21, 3 pm to 7 pm on your calendar. There’s no need to sign up just come and join the fun.

January 21 – Dining Out At Beertown Newmarket

For those of us that braved the snowy morning, lunch at Beertown was a fun gathering. Our wait staff took excellent care of us and the food was delicious. We’ll definitely put this one on our return visit list. And as usual a good time was had by all. .

January 14 – Aurora Mayor, Tom Mrakas

A popular guest speaker, Mayor Mrakas did not disappoint his audience. He brought us up to date with the latest town undertakings and future plans. Addressed the new recycling bins and the collection process. Shared his thoughts on speed cameras. Gave us some insight into road maintenance and traffic management and with whom the jurisdiction lay. Tom fielded several questions from the floor and was forthright and earnest with his answers. Afterwards, 27 of us went to the Symposium restaurant for an enjoyable lunch.
